What is The Tapestry?
How many people do you know? No, really, I mean it.
How many people have you met in your life? Any one
interesting?
We all touch many other lives throughout our own.
All our families and circles of friends have interesting
people and events, worthy of note.
What happens if we share with the world
the account of our own lives
in terms of the people we've known and the events we've shared
with them? That is The Tapestry. It contains the threads of
our own lives, and the account of how they are intertwined
with the lives of others.
World Wide Web - the perfect vehicle
The Web is ideal for this. The story need not be
read linearly, page after designated page, chapter,
after designated chapter. Nor does it need to be written
linearly.
Whenever new material is written, The Tapestry
is updated, and links are marked as new. You are free to
navigate the story in any way you choose.
To kick things off, I decided to write about my own life,
describe my family and friends. Next step will be to get them
to contribute their threads of life. Wish me luck.
