Since I won't have the opportunity to do this in the conventional way (such as publishing a book), I also decided to do it in a way that is different from the conventional. The overall organization will follow the stages of my life. From time to time, I will fill in the details as they come to me, and mark the appropriate section as having new material. Feel free to browse the story in any order. And come again, see how it grows.
And now, we begin: I was born on April 12, 1960 in the city of Irkutsk, situated in the depths of Siberia on the shores of the river Angara. Shortly therefter, still in 1960, we moved to a fairly large industrial city of Ufa in the Ural mountains. In 1967 we moved on to a suburb of Moscow, called Vidnoe, where I went to school(Hello! all grads of Vidnoe School #2). In 1976, my family left the then USSR for the US of A, by way of Vienna and Rome. We settled in Chicago, Ill,where I went to Mundelein College, Truman College and University of Illinois at Chicago Circle Campus. From there I transferred to the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill. The years there were very important for me, but the connections are now lost.
Upon graduation in 1980, I joined Western Elecrtic Co, Inc. in Piscataway, New Jersey, and was loaned out, and later transferred permanently, to the co-located Bell Laboratories Systems Training Center. After six years there, I went to a Bell Labs Network Management organization in Red Hill, NJ.
In 1990, at the ripe old age of 30, I asked myself the question: "If not now, when?" and left Bell Labs for greener pastures. My stint at Salomon Techonlogy Services lasted a year and some change. From there I went to Bell Atlantic. Three and a half years there taught me much, including the need to start Qaudrix Sloutions Inc. and build Yourtown.
