A SCIROCCO is a dry, oppressive desert wind that blows from the East across the Mediterranean. It is likely to sweep up everything in it's path and send it into a swirling cloud. I want my words to have that kind of power. If I can stir up a little dirt, it will take longer to settle. So here's to keeping the dust moving all around us before we become "ashes to ashes" ourselves.
| HOLLY ENNIST STEWART was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. Despite this obvious handicap, Holly has spent her first 29 years in a constant state of wondermnet and flux. She wishes she could always see life through the eyes of a child, where everything is new and exciting. She feels terminally seventeen, slightly afraid of commitment and a little unsure at every step. Her writing helps all the doubt and questions congeal into the rest of her ideology, which might be considered liberal. She's been having deep thoughts since she was three or four. And she feels very strange speaking about hereslf in the second person. |

Holly received her high school diploma from Blair Academy in 1984 and
her degree in communications from Muhlenberg college in Allentown, Pennsyvania
in 1988. Regretfuly, she's forgotten a lot of what she learned, particularly in
French and pre-calculus. Sh'e certain that the most important things in life are
not those you can learn from reading a book. Experience is vital; read only when
you are too tired to work or play. Watch tv when you're so fried you feel like
a squirrel on a wire.
One of the great paradoxes of Holly's life is how she compromises her love of open spaces with her location less than thirty miles from Mnahatan. It disgusts her how much the area has grown since she was a little girl. Overpopulation terrifies her. She's always wrestled with mankind's big problems, like war and rece and the apocalypse. Her writing forum is as changeable as her mood. Topics range from tattoos to Taoism. Life is full of flavors. Among Holly's interests are playing guitar, fishing, consuming lager beverages and riding motorcycles, though not necessarily all at the same time. She is currently saing money to buy a Harley-Davidson. Donations will be accepted. |
Other publications Holly writes for are East Coast Rocker and
The Aquarian Weekly, where she is a contributing editor. She is also
empolyed as a production coordinator (fancy title for office shcomoo) in the
composing room at North Jeresy Newspapers Company. She and her husband Steven
live in Bloomingdale and vow only to move Westward form this point on.
